The Week that Was – Week notes 3rd September 2010
Dave and Hugo have found themselves alone in the office for the majority of the week fending off the hoards of emails and phone calls whilst others are sailing and/or basking in Adriatic/Mediterranean rays of sun. On the upside however Hugo and Dave were able to keep up morale by discovering aural gems in the realm of what has been ignorantly described as ‘swing, ragtime noodle music’ but is more commonly known as jazz.
With the heavy hitters of the Name office galavanting around exotic corners of Europe Hugo has found himself with a much more varied palate of tasks to perform, on top of his usual required assignments. Despite the detailed instructions unexpected hurdles inevitably occur keeping Hugo thoroughly occupied. With desperate pleas of unhappy reporters neglected from guestlists to monitoring client coverage and chasing up stories it looks as though his hard work may have paid off and his stay with us at Name is looking to be extended.
John’s radio silence has remained unbroken as promised for the entire week, showing either massive restraint or utter indulgence. This can’t be said for all absent parties as Sam’s feelings on the subject were summed up in a slightly blurry image (seen below) arriving mid afternoon Friday without explination, sometimes 3 words is all you need…

Dave, whilst seizing the commanding roll with aptitude earned his stripes keeping all threats at bay save for the first real invasion of office flies. Fortunately we possess an Executioner, which, according to the packaging “produces a spark that looks and sounds cool” when it comes into contact with an insect. It kills them too of course, which Hugo was only too happy to discover after giving himself a quick zap. If anyone in the arms industry is after a creative copywriter they could do worse than to call the Executioner people up.
Its time for our fortnightly slightly shortened playlist with the aptly chosen theme of duos, our loyal listeners will be rewarded with a fine mix of our favourite duo tracks. Found here.
Untill next week, enjoy the sun and hope to see you all at the Soundcrash gig at with Dam Funk and Rustie tomorrow night!
